Watson's is on Rose Lake in Cataldo, Idaho, right off I-90. We're about 30 minutes east of Coeur d'Alene and roughly an hour east of Spokane. See our Directions page for detailed driving routes.

Cell coverage in the Cataldo and Rose Lake area is spotty. We offer complimentary Wi-Fi on the property so you can stay connected. We recommend downloading any directions or maps before you arrive.

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property for all guests.

Watson's is minutes from the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes (73-mile paved recreation trail) and Old Mission State Park. Coeur d'Alene is 30 minutes west, Silver Mountain Resort is 25 minutes east, and Spokane is about an hour away. See our Activities page for a full area guide.

Guests enjoy direct lake access with a shared dock for swimming, fishing, and kayaking. Red's Tavern serves garden-to-table dinner on the lakefront deck. The Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes trailhead is minutes away for cycling and walking.

We have five unique accommodations: two log cabins, a safari tent, a geodesic dome, and The Tavern Lodge, a three-bedroom unit above Red's Tavern with a kids' room, full kitchen, and laundry. Each offers a different experience, from rustic cabin charm to adventure-forward glamping.

Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. We want every guest to enjoy a peaceful lakefront experience.

All indoor spaces are non-smoking. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available away from unit entrances and the dock.

Not yet. Booking for the cabins, dome, safari tent, and Tavern Lodge is not open, and we do not have an opening date to share. Join the notify list and we will email you when reservations go live. Red's Tavern is open, and you can reserve a table online through Toast Tables or by calling (208) 582-8939.

Red's Tavern is our on-site garden-to-table restaurant and bar. Nearly all ingredients are locally sourced, and the menu features classy American food: steaks, roasts, and seasonal specials. It's open to both resort guests and the public.

Red's Tavern serves lunch 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM and dinner 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Thursday through Sunday. Closed Monday through Wednesday. Closed Thanksgiving Day (Nov 26) and Christmas Day (Dec 25).

Reservations are recommended, especially for dinner and when there is live music. Book online through Toast Tables or call (208) 582-8939. Walk-in guests are seated as space allows. For larger parties, please call ahead.

Yes, Red's Tavern has a lakefront deck with outdoor seating. It's one of the best spots in Northern Idaho for dinner with a view.
